Water & Wastewater Laborer The Village of Mahomet (pop. 9,434), is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for full-time employment in the Water & Wastewater Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, electronic meter reading, meter installs, maintenance of the water/wastewater infrastructure, mowing, weed eating, and other duties as assigned. Successful candidates must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and be able to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis. The starting rate of pay is $21.88 to $25.74 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience and determined by collective bargaining agreement. The Village also provides employees with an excellent and comprehensive package of fringe benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, IMRF retirement, sick, personal and vacation time. 400 E Main Construction Update (Monday February 24, 2024) The 400 block of Main Street between Elm Street and Lincoln Street will be closed on Monday March 3 for street light pole installation, weather permitting.
