Water & Wastewater Laborer
The Village of Mahomet (pop. 9,434), is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for full-time employment in the Water & Wastewater Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, electronic meter reading, meter installs, maintenance of the water/wastewater infrastructure, mowing, weed eating, and other duties as assigned. Successful candidates must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and be able to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis.
The starting rate of pay is $21.88 to $25.74 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience and determined by collective bargaining agreement. ROAD CLOSURE ALERT- South Prairieview Road will be closed to thru traffic the week of March 17, 2025 for repair. The closure will begin just south of South Mahomet Road. Please seek alternative routes.
400 E Main Construction Update (Monday February 24, 2024)
The 400 block of Main Street between Elm Street and Lincoln Street will be closed on Monday March 3 for street light pole installation, weather permitting.
Once the installation is completed the street will be re-opened for traffic and parking. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

SOLICITATION PERMITS ISSUED-Representatives from Sun Run Solar will be soliciting January 29-February 1st AND February 3, 2025. As a reminder solicitation is permitted from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday thru Saturday.

-TRAVEL CENTER UPDATE-
The petitioner has withdrawn their conditional use application to build a proposed travel center on the west side of South Prairieview Road (Case CU2024-03). This case and project will not move forward for board of trustee consideration.
