NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

Public notice is hereby given to all persons that the Village of Mahomet Plan and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday December 3, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Village of Mahomet Administrative Office, 503 East Main Street, Mahomet, Illinois, relative to a Conditional Use request upon annexation from County Road 2175N Solar LLC, applicant, to establish ground mounted solar utility use on 87± acres of undeveloped land zoned County AG-1 Agriculture located on the south side of County Road 2175N approximately 2500 feet east of County Road 750E.  The property is more particularly described below:

 

THE EAST 56 ACRES OF THE NORTH HALF OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER AND THE EAST 56 ACRES OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER, ALL IN SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 20 NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, ILLINOIS, EXCEPT THE WEST 25 ACRES OF EVEN WIDTH OFF THE ENTIRE WEST SIDE OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PREMISES.

 

Information concerning the request will be available for examination on the Village website www.mahomet-il.gov on November 27, 2024. If you cannot access the information online, please contact the Village of Mahomet Administrative Office by phone (217)586-4456 to make other arrangements to view the documents. Interested citizens are invited to provide comments regarding the request either in person at the public hearing or by prior written statement. Public comments may be submitted in hard copy at the Administrative Office (503 East Main Street, Mahomet) before 2:00 pm on December 3, 2024, or by email submission to Abby Heckman, Village Planner aheckman@mahomet-il.gov no later than 4:00 pm on December 3, 2024, to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public hearing proceedings.
